Anna Mercado Clark

Cybersecurity: 20/20 Hindsight Not Good Enough in 2020

Anna Mercado Clark is a Partner at Phillips Lytle LLP and the leader of the firm’s Data Security & Privacy and e-Discovery & Digital Forensics Teams. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University. Ms. Clark has been awarded the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) designation by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), a preeminent certification for advanced concentration in European data protection laws, standards, and practices.

She is a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and spearheaded an award-winning diversity pipeline program. She is a founding and board member of the Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York, a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Diversity Champion Award Selection Committee, and has been a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York’s trial reenactment team for over a decade.

She is the recipient of Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 17th Annual Women Worth Watching Award and the Honorable Denny Chin ’78 Alumni Award for Excellence in the Legal Profession, among other accolades.

Anna holds a B.A. Biology from Rutgers University, 2002, and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, 2005.
