The Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) proudly presents the 2019 NAPABA Northeast Regional/AABANY Fall Conference, “United in Action and Vision: Towards 2020 Together,” which is taking place on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Fordham University School of Law. AABANY is proud to host the 2019 NAPABA Northeast Regional in conjunction with our Annual Fall Conference. It marks the 10th anniversary of the Fall Conference as well as AABANY’s 30th anniversary. We will be presenting a full day of CLE and non-CLE programs on cutting edge topics, as well as the following special programs:
Pitch Sessions
The Pitch Sessions provide participants an opportunity to engage in live pitch sessions to in-house counsel who have indicated a current or future need for outside legal services. Law firms, solo practitioners, and Elite and Gold level sponsors seeking to participate in the Pitch Sessions are pre-screened by in-house counsel based on their needs, and selected participants are invited to join one or more pitch sessions at the NE Regional/Fall Conference.
Diversity Career Fair & Expo
The Diversity Career Fair & Expo provides law firms, government, public interest and corporate employers the opportunity to meet diverse candidates—including experienced attorneys, recent law school graduates, and law students—and share information about their companies and any job openings. Employers will also have the opportunity to conduct first round interviews of pre-screened candidates at the NE Regional/Fall Conference.
In-House Counsel Forum
AABANY’s In-House Counsel Committee will host its Annual In-House Counsel Forum. This invite-only forum is intended to offer senior level in-house counsel and general counsel an opportunity to discuss pressing issues of particular relevance for corporate counsel and to connect with other in-house attorneys.
Cocktail Reception & Trailblazer Award Presentation
At the conclusion of the day, all participants are invited to stay for the Cocktail Reception to connect or reconnect with peers, friends and colleagues from AABANY. During the Cocktail Reception, AABANY plans to present its Trailblazer Award to a prominent member of AABANY’s community who exemplifies the qualities of a role model and trailblazer in the legal profession in New York.
